NEW YORK
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
I will explain a little bit about New York. I think all of us have his/her own idea of this city.
Last year I flew with my partner to New York. I have to recognize that, at the beginning I wanted to do another kind of trip, because I like much more the countryside and see landscape.
New York is really an amusing city. The sentence “New York never sleeps” is totally true. From the morning till late at night there is always something to do or to see. It’s incredible.
It is a multiethnic, cosmopolitan, multicultural city, etc. In one week you haven’t got enough time to visit all the places, which are offered.
Walking through the streets, you have this kind of sensation that everybody is in hurry and you can really see the businessmen/businesswomen well dressed and wearing trainers. A New Yorker explained us, that this is due the traffic jam and it is impossible to drive by car and people have to go by foot to their jobs. So, the most useful and comfortable kind of shoes are the trainers and that case.
I really don’t know how to tell you all the particularises of New York. There are too many.
Another aspect which called my attention was Times Square. It is situated in the middle of the theatres heart of New York. Originally it was known as Long Acre Square, but later it was changed to Times Square when in 1904 the offices of the “New York Times” were located there.
It you visit Times Square at night, it is fantastic with all the advertisements you can see at huge screens.
I only will show a little bit more of the history of the city, because I’m sure you all know the places you can visit in New York, as for example: The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park, Empire State, 5th Ave., the different destricts/quartes Bronx, Harlem, China Town, Little Italy, the cultural offers, like Musicals, library, theatres and so on….
New York is not only Manhattan. Manhattan is joined by bridges and tunnels to four other boroughs: Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. All these together make up New York. The avenues runs from north to south and the streets run fro east to west.
Downtown Manhattan, the streets go in all directions. It is the oldest part of Manhattan where the Dutch settled in the 17th century. Apart from a few foundations, no buildings remain form the Dutch. For a short time New York was called New Amsterdam. Later the English took the town form the Dutch and it became a colony of England and till today it is New York.
Finally, if you have the opportunity to travel to New York. Cash it!!!!!!!

I certainly get excited when I read about New York. I still feel home when I think about this city nobody feels a foreigner.
I absolutely adore this city even though it really exhausts you!
Some mistakes on your piece I'm sure you could have avoided with a much closer look. Try to do so before you hand your dossier to me.
All the best,
